Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as creating any relationship that is otherwise protected by the laws or regulations of professions that are regulated in Virginia, nor shall anything in this chapter be construed as waiving any licensure, certification, or registration required by the Department of Health Professions to practice medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, or any other profession with the authority to administer or prescribe medications to patients in Virginia.
