SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act; illegal gambling device. Adds possession of an illegal gambling device and knowingly concealing, avoiding, or decreasing an obligation to pay or transmit money to the Commonwealth that is derived from the operation of such device to the list of violations for which a civil penalty may be assessed against a person who is found to have committed any such violation.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act; illegal gambling device. Adds possession of an illegal gambling device to the list of violations for which a civil penalty may be assessed against a person who is found to have committed any such violation. The bill further permits the Attorney General to bring a criminal action for violations of illegal gambling laws.
