SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Newborn screening for Krabbe disease. Directs the Department of Health to review Krabbe disease and provide recommendations to the Board of Health regarding whether Krabbe disease should be included in newborn screening.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Newborn screening; Krabbe disease and other lysosomal storage disorders. Requires that newborn screening tests required to be performed on every infant born in the Commonwealth shall include screening for Krabbe disease and other lysosomal storage disorders for which a screening test is available.
