Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Department of Education shall review and revise the Guidelines for Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessment and Developing Positive Behavior Intervention Supports and Strategies (the Guidelines) to align with research-based behavior science and best practices for functional behavior analysis. The Department shall also review and revise the content of the in-depth training provided to local school divisions on conducting functional behavioral analysis and developing quality behavior intervention plans. The Department shall complete its work to review and disseminate the Guidelines to local school divisions no later than June 30, 2021.
