HOUSE BILL NO. 97 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on Appropriations on February 5, 2020) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Miyares) A BILL to require the Department of Health to provide recommendations regarding newborn screening for Krabbe disease.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Department of Health shall review Krabbe disease and provide recommendations to the Board of Health regarding whether Krabbe disease should be included in the core panel of heritable disorders and genetic diseases for which newborn screening is conducted.
