20103815DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the Secretary of Health and Human Resources shall establish a task force to study the shortage of certified sexual assault nurse examiners in the Commonwealth. Such task force shall consist of such stakeholders as the Secretary shall deem appropriate and shall (i) determine the number of sexual assault nurse examiners practicing in the Commonwealth, (ii) determine the extent and severity of the shortage of sexual assault nurse examiners in the Commonwealth, (iii) identify options for increasing the number of sexual assault nurse examiners in the Commonwealth, and (iv) evaluate the potential costs and benefits of each such option. The task force shall report its findings and conclusions, together with specific recommendations for legislative, regulatory, and budgetary actions, to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 1, 2020.
