2020 SESSION
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 54.1-3933 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 54.1-3933. Decreeing fee out of funds under control of court.
No court shall decree or order any fee or compensation to counsel
to be paid out of money or property under the control of the court, unless the
claim is in the bill complaint, petition, or other proceeding, of
which the parties interested have due notice, or unless the parties are
notified in writing that application will be made to the court for such decree
or order.
