WHEREAS, the PATH Foundation was formed on October 31, 2013, as a joint venture between Fauquier Health Hospital and LifePoint Hospital; and
WHEREAS, originally known as the Fauquier Health Foundation, the PATH Foundation was formed to support crucial community needs through charitable giving; and
WHEREAS, the PATH Foundation has invested nearly $17 million in the Counties of Fauquier, Rappahannock, and Culpeper through philanthropic grants and programs; and
WHEREAS, the PATH Foundation has succeeded in its mission to be a leader in overall health status improvement and private capital investment projects in the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, the core values of the PATH Foundation are health, community, partnership, impact, stewardship, and leadership; and
WHEREAS, on May 31, 2018, the PATH Foundation redeemed its 20 percent share of Fauquier Health Hospital to allow sole focus on its mission to strengthen the health and vitality of the community; and
WHEREAS, the PATH Foundation’s grant recipients include the Fauquier Free Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, the Town of Warrenton, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, the Land Trust of Virginia, and M. M. Pierce Elementary School; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the PATH Foundation hereby be commended on the occasion of its fifth anniversary in 2018; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the PATH Foundation as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for the foundation’s philanthropic work in Northern Virginia.
