SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Animal care; adequate shelter. Provides that the definition of "adequate shelter" includes the provision of shelter that, during hot weather, is shaded and does not readily conduct heat and, during cold weather, has a windbreak at its entrance and provides sufficient bedding material.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Animal care; adequate shelter; exposure to heat or cold. Provides that the definition of "adequate shelter" includes the provision of shelter that protects the animal from exposure to heat or cold. Current law requires such shelter to protect the animal from the adverse effects of heat or cold.
