19103149DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the State Board of Elections, on or before January 1, 2020, shall revise its regulations for reviewing and processing candidate petitions. Such regulations shall prescribe standards and methods for checking the signatures on candidate petitions, including the use of voter registration records, in order to confirm the validity and authenticity of a signature on a candidate petition and for comparing the information contained in a candidate petition with other paperwork filed by the candidate or any political committee with which he is associated in order to confirm the accuracy and veracity of the information contained in the candidate petition.
