HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 540
Commending Kenny Reynaldo Garay.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 17, 2018

 

WHEREAS, Kenny Reynaldo Garay, a young leader in the Falls Church community and a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieved the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Eagle Scout is the Boy Scouts of America’s highest and most select rank, with only four percent of all Scouts becoming Eagle Scouts; Kenny Garay joins prominent businessmen, artists, military leaders, and public servants who have also become Eagle Scouts; and

WHEREAS, throughout his Scouting career, Kenny Garay consistently demonstrated the Scout spirit and adhered to Scout Oath and Scout Law; and

WHEREAS, among other requirements, prospective Eagle Scouts, such as Kenny Garay, must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges and complete a community service project; and

WHEREAS, for his service project, Kenny Garay led efforts to beautify the playground of Annandale Christian Community for Action’s Child Development Center, giving children a clean, safe place to play; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Kenny Reynaldo Garay hereby be commended on achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kenny Reynaldo Garay as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for his commitment to community service and leadership.
