SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Informal truancy plans. Provides that a student may have up to three discretionary diversions for truancy so long as the immediately previous diversion occurred at least three calendar years prior to the current diversion.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Informal truancy plans. Provides that a student may have multiple discretionary diversions for truancy so long as no previous diversion occurred during the same school year. The bill extends the time frame for filing the complaint and implementing an informal truancy plan from 90 days to 120 days.
