SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Nursing facilities; audio-visual recording. Directs the Board of Health (the Board) to promulgate regulations governing audio-visual recording of patients in nursing homes by July 1, 2017, and requires the Department of Health to convene a workgroup of stakeholders to make recommendations on such regulations. The workgroup shall report its recommendations to the Board and the General Assembly by December 1, 2016.

Nursing facilities; audio visual monitoring. Prohibits a nursing facility from refusing a resident's request for audio visual monitoring of his private room at the resident's cost.
