SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Personal injury and wrongful death actions; disclosure of physical address of insured person. Requires an insurance company to disclose the physical address of an insured person, if known, upon request of an injured person, personal representative, or attorney in a cause of action for personal injury or wrongful death due to a motor vehicle accident within 30 days of the receipt of the request. This bill is identical to HB 1257.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Personal injury and wrongful death actions; disclosure of physical address of insured person. Requires an insurance company to disclose the physical address of an alleged tortfeasor upon request of an injured person, personal representative, or attorney in a cause of action for personal injury or wrongful death due to a motor vehicle accident within 30 days of the request.
