SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION:

Interstate 95 corridor traffic congestion evaluation. Directs the Department of Transportation (the Department) to conduct an evaluation with the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization of traffic congestion on the Interstate 95 corridor in the George Washington Regional Commission region to determine alternative solutions to traffic congestion including the feasibility of extending the HOT lanes south on Interstate 95. The bill also directs the Department to report on the evaluation by the first day of the 2019 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

Interstate 95 corridor traffic congestion evaluation. Extend HOT lanes on Interstate 95. Directs the Department of Transportation to enter into negotiations with the toll operator of the existing HOT lanes on Interstate 95 to extend the HOT lanes south to U.S. Route 17 in Stafford County by 2020.
