SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Spousal support factors. Provides that a court shall consider the circumstances and factors that contributed to the dissolution of the marriage, specifically including any ground for divorce, in determining the nature, amount, and duration of a spousal support award.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Spousal support factors; spouses convicted of certain violations. Provides that a court shall consider a conviction of any violation of Article 4 (Assaults and Bodily Woundings) or Article 7 (Criminal Sexual Assault) of Chapter 4 of Title 18.2, or other substantially similar crimes of another state or of the United States by one spouse against another when determining the nature, amount, and duration of spousal support awards.
