SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Jurisdiction of general district court; arbitration. Establishes that the general district courts have concurrent jurisdiction with the circuit courts to submit matters to arbitration where the amount in controversy is within the jurisdictional limits of the general district court. The bill provides that any party that disagrees with an order by a general district court granting an application to compel arbitration may appeal the decision to the circuit court. The introduced bill was a recommendation of the Boyd-Graves Conference.
