16103632DWHEREAS, Albert Stuart III of Richmond, a real estate professional, true Southern gentleman, a man of great faith, and a devoted husband and father, died on December 31, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Albert “Al” Stuart III, who was born in Richmond, attended the Richmond Public Schools, Collegiate School, St. Christopher’s School, and Wake Forest University; he then embarked on a distinguished 40-year career in real estate; and
WHEREAS, a consummate Southern gentleman, Al Stuart was highly regarded for being one of the kindest and most thoughtful people whom his friends had the pleasure of knowing; his gentle nature and compassion were greatly appreciated by those who came in contact with him; and
WHEREAS, Al Stuart was deeply devout, and his exemplary love for others and his strong faith were central to his life and work; throughout his life, he lived by the philosophy of “Love Your Neighbor”; and
WHEREAS, St. Giles Presbyterian Church was Al Stuart’s church home; he enjoyed worship and fellowship there and was a member of the church for 30 years; he served in several leadership positions and was a deacon and an elder; and
WHEREAS, Al Stuart will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife, Eva; children, Katherine and Anne, and their families; and many other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Albert Stuart III of Richmond, a real estate professional, an esteemed and admired friend to many people, a man of great faith, and a devoted husband and father; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Albert Stuart III as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
