WHEREAS, Robert O. Chase has dedicated 30 years to advocacy for better transportation solutions and improved quality of life for the residents of Northern Virginia and the entire Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, committed to the people of Virginia, Robert “Bob” O. Chase has been a champion of many critical infrastructure investments and improvements, which have directly contributed to the economic success and high quality of life for which Northern Virginia is now known; and
WHEREAS, projects such as the Woodrow Wilson Bridge replacement, the Springfield Interchange, and the Virginia Railway Express would not have reached completion without Bob Chase’s leadership and staunch advocacy; and
WHEREAS, under Bob Chase’s direction, the business community has pulled together on transportation issues, and his leading example ensures similar cooperation on a variety of other future projects; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Robert O. Chase for his efforts over the past 30 years to increase the ease of transportation in Northern Virginia; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Robert O. Chase as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and admiration for his leadership and commitment to bettering the lives of those who are in great need.
