16102114DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-415.1 as follows:
§ 46.2-415.1. Treatment of convictions under federal law.
The Commissioner shall treat any conviction of a person by a United States magistrate or a judge of a district court of the United States for an offense committed on a federal reservation located within the Commonwealth under a provision of federal law that is substantially similar to an offense under Virginia law or under a local ordinance referenced in this chapter in the same manner as if such person had been convicted for an offense under the law of another state.
