HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 520 Celebrating the life of Craig Patrick Jeffers.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, August 17, 2015

 

WHEREAS, Craig Patrick Jeffers of Ruckersville, a talented student-athlete and a beloved son, brother, and friend, died on June 10, 2015; and

WHEREAS, a recent graduate of William Monroe High School, Craig Jeffers was a hardworking student and a passionate athlete; and

WHEREAS, Craig Jeffers played defensive end on the William Monroe High School football team, and his intensity earned the respect of coaches and teammates; in his senior year, he was named to the all-district first team and all-conference second team; and

WHEREAS, Craig Jeffers had proudly been accepted by Virginia Military Institute as a member of the Class of 2019; and

WHEREAS, Craig Jeffers will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, Samuel and Maureen; brothers, Liam and Shea; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Craig Patrick Jeffers, a beloved member of the Ruckersville community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Craig Patrick Jeffers as an expression of the House of Delegates’ respect for his memory.
