SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Antique vehicle exhaust systems. Exempts an antique motor vehicle manufactured prior to 1950, provided that the engine is comparable to that designed as standard factory equipment for that particular vehicle and that the exhaust system in good working order, from the requirement that motor vehicle exhaust systems "prevent excessive or unusual noise." This bill is identical to SB 702.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Antique motor vehicles; exhaust systems. Exempts an antique motor vehicle manufactured prior to 1950, with an engine comparable to standard factory equipment, and with an exhaust system in good working order from the requirement that motor vehicle exhaust systems "prevent excessive or unusual noise."
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Antique motor vehicles; exhaust systems. Exempts antique motor vehicles from the requirement that motor vehicles have exhaust systems of a type installed as standard factory equipment. The bill retains the requirement that their exhaust systems be in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual levels of noise.
