SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Marriage certificates; names of parties. Provides that the parties to a marriage shall be able to designate themselves on the application for marriage license as spouse, bride, or groom. The bill also requires the clerk of court to retain one copy of a completed marriage certificate and provide the other copy to the State Registrar of Vital Records.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Marriage certificates; names of parties. Provides that marriage certificates issued by the clerk shall, upon request, list the parties as spouse, bride, or groom.
