SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Issuing original driver's licenses to minors. Provides that when a judge presides over a ceremony to issue original driver's licenses to minors, the judge shall give the attorney for the Commonwealth the opportunity to participate in the ceremony and to address the licensees, upon request.

Issuing original driver's licenses to minors. Provides that when a judge presides over a ceremony to issue original driver's licenses to minors, the judge may give the attorney for the Commonwealth the opportunity to participate in the ceremony and to address the licensees.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Issuing original driver's licenses to minors. Provides that when a judge presides over a ceremony to issue original driver's licenses to minors, the judge shall notify the attorney for the Commonwealth of the time, date, and location of the ceremony and give the attorney for the Commonwealth the opportunity to participate in the ceremony and to address the licensees.
