HOUSE BILL NO. 903 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on General Laws and Technology on March 3, 2014) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Peace) A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 2.2-401.01, relating to the Secretary of the Commonwealth; liaison to Virginia Indian tribes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 2.2-401.01 as follows:

§ 2.2-401.01. Liaison to Virginia Indian tribes.

The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall:

1. Serve as the Governor's liaison to the Virginia Indian tribes; and

2. Report annually on the status of Indian tribes in Virginia.
