Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1129.2 as follows:

§ 46.2-1129.2. Gross weight limit for hydraulic truck cranes.

A hydraulic truck crane with a gross permit weight of 100,000 pounds or less shall be allowed to carry counter weights mounted on the deck of the crane in the manufacturer's designed mounting racks when the configuration meets specific allowed permitting standards.

Such cranes shall be allowed to carry all necessary equipment necessary to enable a single person to assemble and operate.
