SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Coverage for newborns; health maintenance organizations. Requires health care plans provided by a health maintenance organization to provide coverage for newborn children. The same requirement currently exists for health insurance policies and subscription contracts with family coverage. The bill does not apply to Medicaid managed care and FAMIS plans.
