SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Use, display, or discharge of firearm in committing felony. Increases (exclusively mandatory minimum) penalties for use or display of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies from three to four years for a first offense and from five to six years for a second or subsequent offense.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Use, display, or discharge of firearm in committing felony. Increases (exclusively mandatory minimum) penalties for use or display of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies from three to five years for a first offense and from five to eight years for a second or subsequent offense. The bill also adds a new three-year mandatory minimum sentence for actual discharge of a firearm during the commission of the offense.
