SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Cemetery Board; cemetery operators; itemized statement and general price list. Provides that the Cemetery Board shall develop a process whereby a consumer is provided with a current general price list or itemized statement of charges by a cemetery company prior to the execution of a contract for such services.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Cemetery Board; cemetery operators; itemized statement and general price list. Provides that whenever a general price list or itemized statement of charges in connection with burial services is provided to an individual, a cemetery company must obtain a written acknowledgment of receipt. Under current law a general price list or itemized statement of charges is required to be offered with no acknowledgement of receipt.
