SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Requirement that genetically-engineered food be labeled; penalty. Defines genetically-engineered food and deems such food to be misbranded unless it is labeled as genetically engineered. Existing law makes the sale of misbranded food a Class 1 misdemeanor. The bill contains technical amendments.
