SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Urban county executive form; board of supervisors. Provides that in a county with the urban county executive form of government (Fairfax County) a special election to fill a vacancy on the board shall be called no fewer than 45 days, rather than 30 days, after the vacancy occurs to allow sufficient time to prepare for the election. This change is also applicable to urban county executive form school board vacancies through a cross-reference in § 22.1-57.3.
