SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Small employer health insurance tax credit. Establishes a tax credit for small employers that pay a portion of their employees' health insurance premiums. The credit would be equal to 30 percent of the federal small employer health insurance tax credit claimed by the employer and would have a seven-year carryforward period. Under the bill, a small employer is one with no more than 25 full-time employees.
