SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Sales and use tax revenue dedication; transportation in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads. Dedicates a portion of state sales and use tax revenue for transportation projects in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads equivalent to a one quarter percent sales and use tax rate in the localities in Northern Virginia and the localities in Hampton Roads, with the amount for each region calculated separately. The amounts calculated for Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads are transferred to the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority and the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization, respectively, to be used solely for projects in the Commonwealth Transportation Board%92s Six-Year Improvement Program.
