SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
State agency mandates on localities. Provides that the assessment of mandates imposed on local governments currently required include an estimate of the fiscal impact of such mandates on the affected local governments in addition to a written justification regarding why the mandate should or should not be eliminated. This bill is identical to HB 2319.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
State agency mandates on localities. Provides that the assessment of mandates imposed on local governments currently required include a detailed cost-benefit analysis and utilization of performance-based metrics to determine the value of the mandate in relation to the required or intended output or desired result.
