SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
State Corporation Commission; discovery. Provides that staff of the State Corporation Commission shall be treated as a party for purposes of the Commission’s rules governing discovery and hearing preparation procedures. The measure applies to matters that involve the Securities Act, the Retail Franchise Act, the Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act, or the taxation of public service corporations, or that are initiated by a rule to show cause. This provision does not permit discovery pertaining to settlement negotiations.
