SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Health professions; reciprocity exemption from licensing. Provides an exemption for the requirement that health professionals be licensed for a practitioner who is in good standing with the applicable regulatory agency in another state and who is treating a patient who is being transported to or from Virginia for care. This bill is identical to SB 828 (Edwards).
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Health professions; reciprocity exemption from licensing. Provides an exemption for the requirement that health professionals be licensed for a practitioner who is in good standing with the applicable regulatory agency in another state or Canada and is in Virginia temporarily in order to transport a patient to a neighboring state for care.
