SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Nursing homes; information regarding family councils.  Provides that the State Board of Health shall require each nursing home and certified nursing facility to, upon the request of the facility's family council, send notices and information about the family council mutually developed by the family council and the administration of the nursing home or certified nursing facility and provided to the facility for such purpose to the contact person of the resident's choice up to six times per year. Such notices and information may be included together with a monthly billing statement or other regular communication, and shall be posted in a designated location within the nursing home or certified nursing facility. This bill incorporates HB 2388 (Torian) and is identical to SB 976.

Such notices may be included together with a monthly billing statement or other regular communication sent to a resident's family member or other responsible party.
