SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Individual income tax; Virginia Military Family Relief Fund payments. Provides that it shall be the policy of the Commonwealth to allow individuals who receive payments from the Virginia Military Family Relief Fund to subtract them from their federal adjustable gross income when calculating their Virginia taxable income, for taxable years beginning on and after January 1, 2010, if such payments are taxable at the federal level.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Individual income tax; Virginia Military Family Relief Fund payments. Provides that it shall be the policy of the Commonwealth to allow individuals who receive payments from the Virginia Military Family Relief Fund to subtract them from their federal adjustable gross income when calculating their Virginia taxable income, for taxable years beginning on and after January 1, 2010, if such payments are taxable at the federal level.
