SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION: (all summaries)
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Compact. Amends the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Compact to comply with certain federal requirements; increases the number of directors on the WMATA Board by adding two federal government appointees; establishes an Office of the Inspector General and provides for the duties of such office; and requires that certain payments made to WMATA to match certain federal funds be made from a dedicated funding source. This bill is identical to SB 1511.
