SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. Establishes a compact to remove barriers to educational success imposed on children of military families because of frequent moves and deployment of their parents. The compact is currently in effect as at least 10 states have enacted the compact into law. The bill will take effect only if funds are appropriated to effectuate its purposes in the general appropriation act passed at the 2009 Regular Session.
