SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Eastern Virginia Medical School; Board of Visitors terms.  Allows officers of the Board of Visitors to serve up to three additional one-year terms.  Contains an emergency clause.

SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Eastern Virginia Medical School; Board of Visitors terms.  Requires that the Board of Visitors of the school develop a plan by November 1, 2008, for the reorganization of the school, including provisions for appointments to the Board by the Governor, the Speaker, and the Senate Committee on Rules beginning July 1, 2009.  The bill provides for recognition of the school as a state agency.  The bill also allows officers of the Board of Visitors to serve up to three additional one-year terms.
