SENATE BILL NO. 518 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on/for Transportation on February 9, 2006) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Puckett) A BILL to authorize the issuance of special license plates for members of the Virginia State Defense Force.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. On receipt of an application and written evidence that the applicant is a member of the Virginia State Defense Force, the Commissioner shall issue to the applicant special license plates. Issuance of special license plates under this act shall be in accordance with the requirements and procedures of § 46.2-725 of the Code of Virginia, except that the provisions of subdivisions B 1 and B 2 of § 46.2-725 shall not apply to special license plates issued under this act.
