VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to authorize cooperative transportation agreements between local governments and local school divisions. [H 1582] Approved

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. Any local government or combination of governments within Planning District 16 is hereby authorized to enter into cooperative agreements with a local school division or divisions for the use of school vehicles for public transportation purposes during nonschool hours. Such agreements may utilize public or private funds for addressing the costs of the program.

2. If no agreements are entered into pursuant to this act by July 1, 2010, the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2010.
