SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
No Child Left Behind; waiver applications. Requires the Board of Education to file an application for a waiver from a specified accountability provision included in No Child Left Behind when requested, by resolution adopted in open meeting by any of the eight superintendents' regions. The superintendents' regions must review the provisions of NCLB and may request the filing of an application for a waiver. SB 1136 incorporates this bill.
