SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Significant Regional Project Advisory Board. Creates the Significant Regional Project Advisory Board to advise the Governor concerning assistance grants of over $1 million that are made from the unused balance of any state budget to a major regional employer located in a distressed area of the Commonwealth. Under the bill, an affirmative vote by five of the seven members of the board is required for any recommendation. The Governor is not authorized to make a grant in an amount over $1 million without the recommendation of the board.
