SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Immunity for medical services; Board of Medicine to inform licensees. Requires the Board of Medicine to provide its licensees with a full description of the protections from civil liability that may apply where health care services are provided without compensation to a patient of a clinic that is organized in whole or in part for the delivery of health care services without charge.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Civil remedies; physician liability for uncompensated care to the indigent.  Provides that any licensed physician who delivers health care services without charge to individuals who are indigent shall not be liable for any civil damages for any act or omission resulting from the rendering of such services in good faith unless such act or omission was the result of such physician's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
