Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. That the Virginia Route 688 bridge across Carter's Run, South, near Hume is hereby designated the "William H. Hume and Jean Emmons [ McCarthy McCarty ] Hume Memorial Bridge.” The Department of Transportation shall place and maintain appropriate markers indicating the designation of this bridge. This designation shall not affect any other designation heretofore or hereafter applied to this bridge.
