2005 SESSION
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. State social benefits structure; incentives for the break-up of families.
Unless otherwise prohibited by federal law or regulation, the Department and State Board of Social Services shall ensure that the current social services benefits structure in the Commonwealth does not provide economic or other incentives for the break-up of families. The Department and the State Board of Social Services shall, to the extent possible, eliminate such incentives from program regulations and policy.
