HOUSE BILL NO. 1812 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee for Courts of Justice on February 4, 2005) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Marshall, R.G.) A BILL to require that the Department of Corrections to promulgate regulations setting forth procedures to assure that no person sentenced to death shall be put to death while she is pregnant.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1.  That the Department of Corrections shall promulgate regulations setting forth procedures to assure that no person sentenced to death shall be put to death while she is pregnant.
