SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Posting of Bill of Rights in public schools. Amends the two uncodified Acts of Assembly requiring the posting of the National Motto in public schools to add the required posting of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States. Currently, school boards, at their discretion, may accept contributions in cash or in-kind from any person to defray the costs of implementing this provision.

Amends the two uncodified Acts of Assembly requiring the posting of the National Motto in public schools to add the required posting of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States. Currently, school boards, at their discretion, may accept contributions in cash or in-kind from any person to defray the costs of implementing this provision.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Posting of First Amendment in public schools. Amends the two uncodified Acts of Assembly requiring the posting of the National Motto in public schools to add the required posting of the text of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, along with the statement, "The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, ratified December 15, 1791."
Currently, school boards, at their discretion, may accept contributions in cash or in-kind from any person to defray the costs of implementing this provision.
